Glow

Paper Glow translates Steidl’s culture of precision, craft and publishing into a Paris bookstore. At the centre of the space, a cubic counter becomes a lantern. Translucent paper is backlit to draw the eye from the street, turning light into the project’s first material.

The furniture family borrows from the tools and machinery of paper production. Industrial forms are simplified, repeated and refined through proportion, detail and material, creating a restrained framework for books, images and objects.
